Enhanced oil recovery simulation

INTRODUCTION

ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY SIMULATION COMPETITION (EORSC) is an event organized by SPE-UTP-SC with the support of Centre of Research Enhanced Oil Recovery (COREOR) and Petroleum Engineering Department. The participants consist of two categories, undergraduate and postgraduate where they will be tested on their knowledge and skills in analyzing reservoir models through reservoir simulation.

OBJECTIVE

  • To enrich and expand the knowledge of the students regarding the technical and non-technical aspects of oil and gas industry.

  • To create an environment of healthy teamwork, cooperation, competition and knowledge sharing.

  • As one of the active learning methods and a fun way to enhance interest and motivation for students in learning more about the aspects related to oil and gas industry.

  • To enhance students’ participation and increase their competitiveness towards internal or external competitions.

  • As a preparation for the students both mentally and academically before representing UTP in external competitions.

  • To select the best candidates as UTP representatives for upcoming external competition, SPE PetroBowl Competition Asian Pacific Regional Qualifier.
