OIl and gas competition

INTRODUCTION

Oil Rig Design Competition (OGC) is a competition where students construct their own oil rig based on the type of oil rig as provided in the reference using only recyclable materials which are approved by the organizer. Each registered team consists of four delegates in which one of the delegates will be doing a technical presentation about their own constructed oil rig model. The delegates in the team will then present their oil rig to the line of judges and a series of assessments followed by a test in a wave tank to judge the oil rig constructed based on multiple criteria laid-out by judges invited.

After the oil rig model assessment, each team will then do a presentation on their own oil rig model explaining on the materials they use to construct and also describe their oil rig model with additional explanation for each concept and theory applied. The 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up stand the chance to be chosen as UTP representatives for any possible incoming competition.
